J.R.R.Tolkien

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. He paused, and then said in a deep voice, "This is the Master-Ring, the One Ring to rule them all. This is the One Ring lost many years ago, to the great weakening of its maker's power. Now, he greatly desires to have it again - but he must NOT get it"

"Hey you!" he said roughly. "What are you up to?" "Nothing, nothing.", said Gollum softly. "Nice Master!" "I daresay," said Sam. "But where have you been to - sneaking off and sneaking back, you old villain?" Gollum withdrew himself, and a green glint flickered under his heavy lids. Almost spider-like he looked now, crouched back on his bent limbs, with his protruding eyes. The fleeting moment had passed, beyond recall. "Sneaking, sneaking!" he hissed. "Hobbits always so polite, yes O nice Hobbits! Sméagol brings them up secret ways that nobody else could find. Tired he was, thirsty he was, yes thirsty? and he guides them and he searches for paths, and they say sneak, sneak. Very nice friends, O yes my precious, very nice."
